As one year of beauty comes to an end, here is a little "best of 2010" sampling of things that both enchanted and inspired GS&E over the past year. It is so exciting to imagine what beauty lies ahead in 2011. There is beauty everywhere...sometimes bold and in front of your camera and sometimes in a simple conversation. The heart is so willing to find it.

The Disneyland "It's a Small World" blue of a pool is so beautiful to me that I could cry...means summer, means sun, means happiness and the sweetest scent of Coppertone!

This was the year of obsessing over knobs while painting and restoring furniture. Anthropologie takes the cake on gorgeous knobs.
Still crazy for collecting beautiful and delicate crowns and tiaras...this one is a find from Pom Pom...
So much beauty in Carol Lew's unbelievable artwork of your pet as a royal...makes me laugh and my heart swoon each time I see a piece! Ruby is next!
Speaking of Ruby...her little Yorkie/Muppet=Yuppet self is an inspiration of beauty, cuteness, perfection and pure-heartedness daily...Sometimes, unsure if she is a dog or a dessert!
A gardenia is, year in and year out, a beautiful thing. Keeping it alive and the blooms going is a terrible feat. We made it happen this year...that glorious scent filled our home constantly.
Fell completely in love with interior designer Jonathan Adler's Barbie...She is way too good for Ken now.
Is there anything more beautiful than a carousel? Especially if it is playing "Once Upon a Dream"?
