Bar Refaeli = perfection

This is so much more than a beautiful face. This 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model BAR REFAELI is so much more inside than she is outside.
She is the spokesperson for Luisa Cerano, been in ELLE (France),Maxim and GQ Italy. She is the spokesperson of Hurley, Diddy cologne and Garnier International. Bar and director Shahar Segal have done a campaign for free under "One Bag Less" to reduce plastic bag use.
Bar volunteers for "Project Sunshine" which provides free services and programs for children facing life threatening illnesses.
Here, she answers GS&E'S beauty questions EXCLUSIVELY:

GS&E: What is a daily beauty ritual you have been doing forever?

BR: I always clean my face every morning and before bed. Drink as much as possible. I am not a fan of beauty cream, but I believe in the power of water. And the only cream beauty products that I use only AHAVA Essential Dead Sea Treatment (brand from Israel). Fragrance is so natural and very good for the skin.

GS&E: What inspires you that is beauty related?

BR: Everything in my life always inspires me. My family, people who were all around me, things that I experienced.

GS&E: It is obvious your internal beauty also makes you so gorgeous...what motto do you live by?

BR: For me inner beauty is more important than the physical. Be thankful for what you have, you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you'll never ever have enough.

What a treat to hear these tips from such a special and beautiful person...and I am googling AHAVA in hopes of international shipping!!

candles......

I know I always talk about Pom Pom Interiors but they happen to also have the most insane smelling candles to their brand and I am beyond addicted. The one I love is "Vintage Rose." I have no words.
Am also addicted to Diptyque's "Baies" which I sell out their lot from Larchmont Beauty Supply each month. If you are in LA...gooooooo.Pom Pom on La Brea and Larchmont Beauty Supply and get these. Before I do.

our secret of disneyland...

I am already book crazy...way too much money is spent at the counter of Barnes and Noble at the Grove and Borders on Vine and Amazonnnn - yikes! The UPS man is so over delivering heavy boxes to my door. The shelves and piles by the bed and the desks are O-O-C. The latest obsession is collecting books on secrets of Disneyland. Sounds like an easy thing to google but it isn't! I have found about four so far. It makes me want to do one myself. It is truly one of my favorite places in the world. The hotter the day, the better. Was once on the Matterhorn and it stopped - dead stopped - in one of the dark tunnels with the red abominable snowman monster eyes blinking. Still heard the other sleds twirling and was completely ready to be bashed in the back of our sled and have Alice and Cinderella carry our coffin to the Haunted Mansion for burial.
Everyone's sleds eventually stopped and lights went on inside the mountain. Have to say the magic was a little lost seeing railings and white paint leading the way to passageway doors inside. The park character members in their leiderhosen led us out of the sled and down the inside of the steep mountain slope and into one of those doors. Inside they demanded we not take pictures so we do not "spoil the magic." We passed boxes of fake snow and were led to a side door with steps that dropped us out in front of the Alice ride. That is my "secret of Disneyland."
Didn't stop us from skipping over to Splash Mountain and eventually walking out of the park hours later with our pounds of Mickey Mouse Honeycomb. If we are going to die, let it be smelling like their Story Book ride water and churros.

NO P&G=NO JC

Pamela Skaist Levy and Gela Nash Taylor are the founders, meaning the actual women to have created and founded JUICY COUTURE. Trust me when I say these beautiful women are the reason Juicy has a heartbeat - I can not imagine this brand without this twosome. The brand is not just fabric and pencil - I have been there where their style, discussion and opinion is displayed and P&G's Juicy has it's own brand of love, style and opinion. Pam and Gela still rule as they always have. Anyone who comes in now that they are gone can not ever reach the genius that used to touch the Juicy label. They are legends.

A chandelier obsession...

I don't know why I have such a strong obsession with chandeliers but I do. GS&E pulls over sometimes when we spot a gorgeous chandelier in a store from driving down the street. The bigger the better. The clear crystal-y the better. I think someone deciding on a chandelier in their home is so personal which is so interesting to me. It sometimes is as important in a dining room as it is in a kitchen. If you are in LA, I beg of you to go to Pom Pom Interiors by Hilda Lindquist on La Brea Blvd and De Longpre, one block south of Sunset Blvd. She has two stores but this one is beyond belief. The chandelier choices she makes in her travels bursting in the lower level like fireworks is so beautiful sometimes I want to crawl under an antique battered white hutch and never leave again.
